The term Smart Home covers far more than simply controlling lights

The experience can begin before you even step through the front door. Gate entry, intercom, and access control let you see and speak with visitors, open gates and doors, and receive notifications from anywhere. Voice and video can be delivered directly to dedicated touchscreens throughout the home or to your mobile devices, giving you complete visibility and control.

Once inside, the same technology can manage lighting, automated shading, heating and cooling, security, multi-room audio and video. Rather than having separate controls and apps for every system, they can work together through a single, intuitive interface. A simple command such as Goodnight could lower the blinds, switch off selected lighting and entertainment, adjust the temperature, secure the property and arm the alarm.
