High-Performance Cinema Farnham Surrey

How did this High-Performance Cinema in Farnham, Surrey, come about?
Our client, who indicated they wished for a high-performance cinema, was based overseas during the early design stage and managed to fly over for a weekend to visit our showroom. Our design team reviewed the initial design online, but this visit allowed us to demonstrate the proposed speakers, amplification and projection system.
They loved the Artcoustic speakers within our media room, and the specifications were developed to suit their 9.2.4 Dolby Atmos cinema room and the performance levels required. Artcoustic is a premium choice for home cinema systems renowned for their exceptional sound quality, customisable designs, and integration capabilities.
Their super-slim design allowed for the minimum space required within our custom fabric room wrap. Artcoustic speakers are engineered to deliver precise, dynamic, clear sound, ensuring every movie scene and musical note is immersive.
The Sony VPL-XW7000, on demonstration in our main cinema, is a state-of-the-art projector designed to elevate the home cinema experience with exceptional clarity, colour accuracy, and brightness. It delivers true 4K resolution with vibrant colours and deep contrasts, creating breathtakingly lifelike visuals. Its laser light source ensures long-lasting, consistent performance with reduced maintenance, making it ideal for avid cinema enthusiasts.
The Anthem MRX 1140, again on show in our primary home cinema room, is a high-performance AV receiver built for serious home cinema enthusiasts who demand outstanding audio quality and system control, with 11 amplifier channels and the latest immersive formats like Dolby Atmos and DTS.

What our client said about their High-Performance Cinema in Farnham, Surrey
“The cinema looks and sounds awesome, above and beyond our expectations. Working with New Wave on this project was an absolute delight. They provided great, reliable, and constructive advice, and their execution was excellent. The Artcoustic speakers make everything sound so vivid and help us achieve a truly immersive experience. We are using the room way more than anticipated and loving every minute.”
What our lead designer said
“We worked with the client to put together a specification for this room, and because he was based overseas, We had to work very hard to ensure that we produced the correct drawings and the correct visual renders to allow him to understand the space and the performance level that we were attempting to deliver.
The audio in this room is based around 9.2.4 Dolby Atmos, so we have our front LCRs behind the screen, we have our surrounds and
rears, we have our front wides, two subwoofers and four in-ceiling speakers to give this room a fully immersive feel. In addition to that, we’ve got a Sony laser projector and a 3-meter ultra-wide screen, so this room is very much based on watching films. The Sony VPL-XW7000 is an excellent choice for those seeking a premium, immersive home cinema experience.
Artcoustic loudspeakers were selected, and these deliver precise, dynamic, clear sound, ensuring every movie scene and musical note is immersive. The team at Artcoustic are great at helping you do those performance calculations and is there to help with the design as much or as little as you need them”.

Rendering a home cinema room is essential for visualising and planning the space effectively before construction begins.
First and foremost, rendering the room provides a realistic design preview, helping our clients visualise the layout, lighting, seating, and overall ambience before making any decisions. This can prevent costly mistakes during construction or renovation. A render also allows for the accurate placement of essential components, such as speakers, projectors, and screens, ensuring optimal sound and viewing experiences.
Furthermore, it will enable experimenting with different materials, colours, and textures to create a personalised environment that suits the homeowner’s style. It allows homeowners and designers to see how the room’s layout, acoustics, lighting, and aesthetics will come together, ensuring the final result meets expectations. They also help identify potential design or functionality issues early, saving time and cost during implementation. Additionally, renders provide a valuable communication tool, ensuring all stakeholders, from homeowners to installers, share a clear project vision.
Overall, rendering enables better planning, minimises errors, and results in a more refined, efficient, and visually pleasing home cinema design.
